Come run with me
Come run or walk a loop with us around Seward Park. I’m celebrating a special milestone by running and walking 40K. Join anytime in the morning, go the distance and pace that’s right for you.
Date
Sunday August 23rd, 2026
Time
Starts at 7:00 am but join anytime in the morning. Casual picnic lunch will be around noontime.
Where
Seward Park, WA. The outer loop at Seward Park follows Shore Loop Road and is 2.4 miles (less than 4 km). We’ll be going clockwise so to meet up with us, start counter-clockwise. See links to map directions to Seward Park on Apple maps and Google maps.
We acknowledge we’re gathering on the indigenous ancestral lands of the Coast Salish people and the Duwamish tribe, with gratitude to the land and its people past and present.

FAQ
“Will there be a first aid station?”
- 🩹 Folks asked about a first aid tent, my family will be joining around 9:00 am and setting up a makeshift station, look for a blue canopy. Basic first aid, period supplies, anti-chafe, sunblock, water, Tailwind, dried mango, sour dried cherries, and peanut butter + jellies (incl. Bobo’s GF).
“What’s for lunch?”
- 🥪 We’re planning a sandwich bar and will plan to include a gluten-free (GF) and vegan option. Potluck style is welcome if you want to bring something for you or to share. There will also be chips and drinks to go around.
“What pace will you be running?”
- 🏃🏼♀️ Depends but 10:45/mile is my go-to for conversation pace. Early miles might be a little faster, gentler running or walking miles at the end. But please feel welcome to go the pace that’s right for you.
Bicycle Weekends closure of Lake Washington Boulevard:
- 🛑 A three-mile section of Lake Washington Boulevard is closed to cars on summer weekends. Check the map, it looks like the entrance to Seward Park will still be open but it may impact your route.

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
